Montecatini is located between Florence and Pisa.
From Florence to Montecatini: A bus (LAZZI company) is available right outside the airport of Florence for Montecatini. The bus stop is located right outside the main entrance of the airport and you can buy the ticket when you get on the bus. The bus runs roughly every 20 minutes and takes about one hour. Ask the driver which is the most convenient stop for Park Hotel Le Sorgenti. Trains are also frequently available from the Florence railway station to Montecatini and take about 40 minutes. Remember that the most convenient stop is "Montecatini-Terme/Monsummano". You can find more information about trains in the official website: http://www.fs-on-line.com From Pisa to Montecatini: A bus (LAZZI company) is available at the airport of Pisa to Pisa downtown. Here one should catch another bus to Lucca and then change again for Montecatini. By train, except a few direct ones from the Pisa airport to Montecatini (at 14.18, 16.18 and at 20.20 which take about one hour), it is necessary to change twice (in Pisa downtown and in either Viareggio or Lucca) and the trip takes about two hours. Remember that the most convenient stop is "Montecatini-Terme/Monsummano". So we recommend, if possible, to fly to Florence. From Pisa to Montecatini public transport is availble but requires more time and changes. There are two train stations in Montecatini. The most convenient one to reach the Conference center is the "Montecatini-Terme/Monsummano" train station. |
